MANAGER, OPERATIONS PROGRAM SUPPORT
JOE SINGH
Amarphall “Joe” Singh was born in Guyana, South American. He was raised in Toronto, Canada, where he graduated from Ryerson College with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Joe began his Postal career in 1987 as a Part Time Flexible City Carrier in Chappaqua, NY, becoming a 204B Acting Supervisor six months later. He transferred to Kingston, NY ten years later, accepting a promotion to Delivery Supervisor. After serving in two more supervisory positions, he took his first Postmaster job in Stormville, NY, followed by an acting position at Arlington Station, Poughkeepsie, NY and then Officer in Charge (OIC) of Peekskill, NY, a level 21 office.
Joe became Postmaster of Rye, NY, a level 20 office in November, 2001 and then progressed to OIC, Mt. Vernon, NY (level 22), Postmaster Spring Valley, NY (level 21) Postmaster, Middletown, NY (level 22), and Manager Customer Service, Jersey City, NJ (level 22 ).
After an 18 month stint as Station Manager in Lincoln Park, Chicago he took his current job as Manager, Operations Program Support at the Greater South Carolina District, level 25. He also serves as Post Office Operations Manager for Orangeburg, Sumter, Lexington and Cayce-West Columbia. He recently acted as interim acting Postmaster for Columbia, a level 26 office.
He is a graduate of the Management Leadership Program and has recently completed Postal Headquarters Green Belt training for Lean Six Sigma.
