MANAGER, MARKETING
LESLIE JOHNSON-FRICK
Leslie began her postal career as a city carrier at the Charlotte Park Road Station in 1985. She continued to carry mail until her first promotion to Postmaster of Hoffman in 1994. After her promotion Leslie volunteer to serve on district city route inspection and function four review teams. She was later promoted to a level 15 Postmaster in Misenheimer NC; during which time she continued to serve on district teams as well as being detailed to Headquarters as a team member for a national staffing study. In 2000 she was promoted to Postmaster Mt. Gilead, which is in the Greensboro District. Soon after she began serving as the District Function Four Coordinator and later detail as the Manager Personnel. During this time Leslie participated in her second Headquarters detail.
Leslie was promoted to Route Exam and Adjustment Team Leader in April 2005 and then to Postmaster of Albemarle in July 2006. This is the job Leslie is most proud of; Leslie’s father Bill Johnson was Postmaster of Albemarle until 1992 when he retired. But she didn’t stay there long, after seven months Leslie was tasked with heading up and implementing the expanded EXFC project for the Mid-Carolinas District. After which she was promoted to Manager, Post Office Operations in September 2009 and then to the Marketing Manager position in February 2010. While serving as Manager Marketing Leslie continues to lead many of the district projects.
Leslie never envisioned herself being a level 24 Manager or even thought she would want to be. Now some 26 years since that first day as a city carrier she looks back over her career and is proud of the accomplishments she has made.
