Dean Roberts started his postal career in February 1989 as a City Letter Carrier. He further advanced his career by becoming a Customer Service Supervisor in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Mr. Roberts did not want to stop just there, so he continued on with his career by becoming Manager, Customer Service: Haymount, Eutaw, Plaza, and Carmel Stations in Fayetteville as well as in Charlotte. He progressed from there and later became Postmaster in Lancaster, SC in September 2006, and then on to Postmaster Matthews, NC, which is his current position.
He has served in many areas for the Postal Service, such as: A/MCSO Charlotte; A/Manager Customer Service: Tokay, WT Harris, Ballantyne, Freedom Stations; Service Team Leader Piedmont 4; District BPI Team; Area Route Examiner; CFC County Coordinator …just to name a few.
In February 2010, he was detailed to the vacancy of Acting, Manager, Post Office Operations based upon his knowledge of postal operations and operational programs from his 11 years of managing over ten different post offices. He was promoted to Manager, Post Office Operations in August, 2011.
